Cumbrian Hoofbeats - Your Riding Holiday Hosts Enjoy the Cumbrian sunsets from our farmhouse B&B accommodation.

We're Pam Harrison and Peter Bulman, the resident owners at Howard House and we'll make every effort to ensure that both you and your horse enjoy your Cumbrian Hoofbeats riding holiday.

Tiger, the resident ginger tabby cat.

Also permanently resident are our horses, goats (a very stately Angora gentleman, Gladys, an inquisitive and very opinionated Pygmy doe and Horace and Cedric, two young English wethers)  - and Tiger, a large ginger tabby cat who very efficiently and diligently ensures that small furry visitors are discouraged from taking up residence.

Both of us ride, but its Pam who enjoys competing, latterly having ridden successfully in advanced dressage with her home produced, 'almost thoroughbred' mare. She holds BHS qualifications, is a List 5 dressage judge and an experienced organiser of affiliated and unaffiliated competition in all of the three major disciplines.

Peter, an experienced show organiser too, is one of the country's leading equestrian photographers and having spent many, many years covering all equestrian disciplines in a press role, is now involved with specialist equestrian and agricultural commissions in the commercial sector.

We are both practical people with extensive equine experience and proven expertise, as are the instructors and venue owners you'll meet during your stay. We offer a 'riding holiday with a difference' and look forward to welcoming you and your horse to our small farm in one of the most unspoilt, 'horse friendly' parts of Cumbria.

Quiet and unspoilt - great for a riding holiday with a difference in Cumbria
