A non-returnable deposit of £35 per person confirms your B&B booking on all holidays and breaks. This MUST be paid within two weeks of booking, or immediately if booking within 2 weeks of arrival. (Separate stabling deposit must also be paid if applicable). We accept all major debit and credit cards.

The newly refurbished, self-contained accommodation in 'The Hayloft Suite' at Howard House offers quiet and very peaceful surroundings. Spacious and furnished to a high standard with central heating, 'The Hayloft Suite' has a small entrance hall, a ground floor twin bedroom and open plan staircase leading to the first floor. 'The Hayloft Suite' retains many original features and is adaptable for up to four family or friends utilising additional first floor sleeping accommodation. The shower room is on the first floor. The first floor lounge enjoys fabulous views over the local Cumbrian countryside and on to Dumfries & Galloway and the Solway Firth estuary, offering the chance to witness glorious sunsets. Breakfast will be served in our farmhouse kitchen or in the 'The Hayloft Suite' lounge at times to be agreed with guests. The breakfast menu offers a variety of 'healthy eating' choices using fresh local produce, or a traditional Cumbrian farmhouse cooked breakfast.

Drying facilities are available and there is secure storage for bicycles and tack.

Check in time for Bed & Breakfast guests will be from 4.00pm, with parking in the farmyard.
Check out time will be by 10am on day of departure. This is a completely non-smoking establishment. Dogs are not permitted in The Hayloft Suite, but well-behaved dogs may sometimes be accommodated in the stables. Child reductions not available in peak season (March to October).

Hard feed is available at cost. We always stock alfalfa and non-molassed sugar beet and we will arrange stocks of other feeds as required, at cost, when bookings are confirmed - you can take home any unused feed. Any supplements or special feeds should be brought with you. Farriery and veterinary charges at cost, if incurred. Other services, including tack cleaning, full groom and show preparation may be available by individual arrangement. Please note that we recommend all visiting horses are vaccinated against equine influenza and have been wormed within 4 weeks of arrival.

Horses booked in for holiday livery may arrive at any time of day, subject to prior arrangement.
