Illustrious Bloodlines

Sir Solstice's sire, Crackenthorpe Formula One is a son of the Anglo European Studbook Elite stallion Renkum Arturo - the first Elite AES stallion in the UK and a grade A show jumper jumping internationally at 7 years old. He sired 'Elite' and 'Model' progeny, advanced eventers, Grade A show jumpers and top level dressage horses. His progeny have always been highly sought after.

Renkum Arturo is descended from the French-bred Statuar, one of the most sought-after producers of dressage horses. He sired many international show jumpers and dressage horses including Clavecimbel who participated in his first International Grand Prix as a 6 year old.

Statuar was by the thoroughbred sire Tamersale, whose classic pedigree includes some of the most highly regarded names in racehorse breeding. Tamersale's sire was the English-bred Tamerlane, himself a sire of group winners Alpenkönig, Boreen and Dschingis Khan and related to Strong Gale, Katabatic, Cab on Target and Cadeaux Genereux. Tamerlane was by the renowned sire Persian Gulf, son of the Triple Crown winner Bahram and the mare Double Life, dam of Precipitation who produced Furioso, internationally regarded for his show jumping progeny.
Persian Gulf left his mark in the breeding of Zarathustra, Zabara, Moto, Sunny Gulf, Saddlers Hall, Gulf Pearl,
Deep River and Crash Course. Persian Gulf's grandson Paradox I was a very successful sire of show jumpers in Germany. Tamerlane's dam, Eastern Empress, was a daughter of Nearco. Tamersale's maternal grandsire, Herbager, was a sire of classic and group winners Appiani II, Grey Dawn II, Sea Hawk II and he is the sire of winning dams, including Rainbow Quest’s dam.

Renkum Arturo's dam Roosmarijn was an Elite Keur mare in Holland. There she was also the dam of the Keur
mare Voici, Renkum Arturo’s half-sister. Also in the dam line is the the famous Ibrahim, backbone of the French breeding behind the international show jumpers Alme, Elf III, Galoubet A, I Love You, Jalisco B, Animo, Quito de Baussy, Quidem de Revel and Joyau D’Or to name a few, together with the horoughbred influence of Grade A show jumper, Le Mioche, himself the sire of many Grade A horses and of L'Espoir, sire of top class jumpers and grandsire of Vital.

Roosmarijn's dam Vesuvius was a Grade A show jumper and a Ster Pref mare. Her sire Porter stood in
Holland and was well known for his jumping stock. Her dam, the Model mare Madoiline B is by the legendary
Preferent Sineada. Sineada was sire of no less than 17 approved stallions. His dam, the Model Preferent
Morgenster was a full sister of Isolde, from which the dominant breeding stallion Consul was born. He in turn sired
the Preferent stallion Joost and the illustrious dressage horse, Christine Stückleberger’s Granat.
Sineada is the grandsire of both Marius and Apollo. Marius is the sire of the legendary Milton.

Crackenthorpe Formula One's dam sire Pentagon was by Erdball, a thoroughbred stallion, who won 17 races and was placed a further 15 times from 41 starts - a high strike rate. His blood is pivotal in many illustrious performance bloodlines and he sired international competition horses including Nick Skelton's international showjumper Apollo, Royal Diamond, Triton, Rebad S and more.

Pentagon's dam, Ubertina, a KWPN Ster mare, was herself sired by the world famous Holstein stallion Farn, sire of Nimmerdor and founder of what is still one of the most sought after bloodlines in Holland.

Sir Solstice's dam Toomyvara II is descended from some of the most influential and highly sought after thoroughbred bloodlines. Her dam Tremandra was by the thoroughbred Boston Two Step, descended down his damline from the sire Precipitation, whose influence on the performance horse world has been described as "so profound that is hard to know where to start - or finish".

Amongst Precipitation's most influential sons was Furioso, an oustanding sire in modern performance horse breeding and his grandson Furioso II sired the international horses Le Mexico, For Pleasure, Voltaire and Purioso, sire of Cocktail. One of Furioso II's daughters produced Welt As and even now, this bloodline continues to shape international competition horse sport at the highest levels.

Furioso is also found in the dam line of a stallion that breeders still like to see, especially in the mare line of jumping horses, that of Cor de la Bryere, who was out out Quenette B, by his son Lurioso.

Toomyvara's sire Tudor Diver is progeny of the great mare Romping and by Tudor Melody, the English Champion 2yo of his generation and one of the most influential throroughbred sires standing in Europe. Romping was a daughter of the Nearco grandson Sir Gaylord, whose illustrious bloodline includes the iconic Gainsborough, also a winner of the English Triple Crown. Nearco won all of his 14 races including the Italian Classics and the French Grand Prix de Paris and his performance at stud is still regarded as extraordinary, as is his influence on modern competition bloodlines.

Tudor Diver's grandsire Tudor Minstrel, a winner of the English 2000 Guineas, was an internationally acclaimed son of Epsom Derby winner Owen Tudor, whose illustrious sire was the great Hyperion, another Gainsborough son. Amongst his prolific progency, Tudor Minstrel sired the Kentucky Derby winner Tomy Lee.
