Competitions in Cumbria happen all year round and your hosts at Howard House, Pam Harrison and Peter Bulman are closely involved with a number of them in different roles.
There are also several very active Riding Clubs and Pony Clubs in the area and most will happily welcome entries from members of other clubs who are on holiday in Cumbria with their horses or ponies. We can provide contact information for secretaries so that you can request any schedules you are interested in when you book your riding holiday with us.
Affiliated competitors who would like to ride at venues a little further afield during their holiday, using Howard House as a base, can look forward to choice of well-run venues for dressage, eventing and showjumping. We'll provide information when you book about what will be on during your stay and help you with contact details and entries.
So whether your ambition is your first ever unaffiliated showjumping or dressage class, or tackling a new and higher level of affiliated competition, your Cumbrian Hoofbeats riding holiday will give you the opportunity to concentrate on the training of your choice, leading to a competitive outing at the show you choose. Your horse will be well cared for and our Stabling & Turnout are managed to a high standard, giving you every chance of being successful.
If you'd like to know what's on when you're thinking of bringing your horse for a holiday with us, Email us with details of what you'd like to compete in and we'll give you as detailed a reply as possible. For dates in the next two months, visit Farm 'n' Equine Magazine or Blackdyke Farm Riding & Competition Centre.
