Riding your own horse whenever you like, concentrating on training with highly qualified BHS registered instructors at excellent local venues, competing at affiliated or unaffiliated level and simply enjoying the opportunity to ride out in a variety of landscapes all combine to make a riding holiday in Cumbria with Cumbrian Hoofbeats an unforgettable experience, suitable for any type or breed of horse or pony and any level of rider.
Achieving your riding goals becomes realistic when you can take your own horse on holiday and plan things at your own pace. You can also look forward to enjoying quality time with your horse in the comfortable, relaxed surroundings of our unspoilt part of Cumbria, where individuals, families and groups are all welcomed and horses are very well cared for.
Cumbrian Hoofbeats is centred on Howard House, a small hill livestock farm in the northeast corner of Cumbria and offers a choice of '4-star' farmhouse B&B in 'The Hayloft Suite' or self catering accommodation in Newlands Farmhouse for riders and British Horse Society Approved full livery with turnout for the horses. Individual requirements for riding lessons, training and competitions are arranged with local venues and trainers, but if you'd prefer just to relax, take in the local 'scene' and enjoy hacking your horse, there's plenty of choice to make your Cumbrian Hoofbeats riding holiday experience as unique as you want it to be.
Riders travelling to competitions are offered bed and breakfast with horse(s), including turnout if required.
Non-riding family and friends
Non riding family members and friends are very welcome and will find something different to do every day. Whatever you choose to enjoy, there's always the fabulous views, the tranquility and the opportunity to re-discover true relaxation in one of Britain's most beautiful, yet still largely unspoilt areas.
Browse our website to find out more the Cumbrian Hoofbeats experience and if there's anything you can't find - Email and ask - and we'll send you a quick reply giving as much information as we can. As our website is always up-to-date, we've decided not to print any brochures, so we don't have anything to post out that isn't on this website. We hope you'll find our riding holidays both individual and a little different and you can be sure you'll be very welcome, whenever you decide to visit. You can post feedback in Our Guestbook.
